This large button in the center is to start a new project. The Left button is to buy elements that you can use in your video.

The gear icon at the bottom left is for Settings. The middle button with a question mark is for help and support and the last button on the right is for the KineMaster Asset Store.

The Asset Store has additional resources which can be downloaded to use in your videos. If you already have projects started, those will appear here too.

To start a new KineMaster project, tap on the plus icon. Then choose the aspect ratio of the video. On iOS a new empty project will open immediately, while on Android we can choose to start with an empty project, or the Project Assistant


Step 1: On the right-hand side tap on the Media Wheel for adding media to your project. At the top tap Media to open the Media Browser where you can add images or videos to your primary media track.

Step 2: Next is the Layer button, you can be use this button to add images, video, graphics or effects that appear on top of your primary media track.

Step 3: Next, if you want to include your voice in your video, tap on Voice button, which lets you record your vice for your video. Tap on the start button when you are ready to record your voice. You can also use this feature for voice over.

Let’s add our first clips to the project.

Step 4: Tap the Media button, then a section of multiple folders will open. Then tap on that folder in which you have stored your video. You can that in that folder that, you may have both images and videos. The icons at the bottom left of the thumbnails show you whether it’s an image, or a video.


Step 5: You can tap on a clip to add it to your timeline. Or, long press on a clip for more information.

Step 6: Tap on the image/video to add that to your project. You can use the trash icon to delete the clip in KineMaster.

Once you have selected the media that you want, press the check mark in the corner. The media that you have added to your project will appear on the Timeline. The Timeline contains media clips in a sequence.
